Love Island Season 7 star Yulissa Escobar was first kicked off the reality show, and now her mugshot from her arrest in Miami has surfaced, adding more fuel to the backlash fire
Ex Love Island USA star Yulissa Escobar seems to have had a bad stroke of luck as of late.
First, Yulissa was axed from the current seventh season of the reality dating competition because of a resurfaced video that captured her saying the n-word. Now it’s come to light that she was arrested last year, as she’s still receiving backlash from her previous insensitive comments. Yulissa appeared to be blear-eyed in her mugshot for a 2024 DUI arrest, admitting to drinking at a bar before she took the wheel.
The U.S. Sun obtained an incident report that revealed Yulissa was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in her hometown of Miami.

The report dated July 24, 2024, an officer noticed a black Acura that was “all over the roadway” and “unable to maintain a lane,” the news outlet shared.
Additionally, the car “nearly at times collided with the median concrete wall.”
The report further read,“The defendant was observed to have bloodshot, watery eyes, and I could smell an odor of an unknown alcohol beverage emitting from inside the vehicle.”
Yulissa informed the officer she was coming from her job at Pilo’s Tequila Garden, and also told the officer that she had drunk nothing, claiming she was “driving normally.”
The officer then had the former reality star step out of the car and asked her if she would consent to performing standardized field sobriety tests to determine whether she could continue driving.
“[Yulissa] ultimately agreed to perform the tests,” the report said. “As the Defendant spoke to me, I could smell an unknown odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her face and mouth area.”
The report continued: “When asked again if she had consumed any alcoholic beverage, the defendant stated that she had a shot with one of her clients at work.”
According to the officer, she couldn’t keep her balance while she listened to instructions, began before the instructions were completed, and used her arms for balance.
The report further alleged, “The defendant was advised that she was being arrested for driving under the influence. At approximately 3:57am she was placed in handcuffs with a double lock.”
Also, Yulisa refused to give a sample of her breath to determine the blood alcohol content.
“The defendant was allowed to call her family members to pick up her car,” the report added. “While speaking on the phone with her family, she made multiple spontaneous statements about her drinking and driving.”
This led to Yulissa being booked and charged with a DUI.
