CHAPEL HILL — UNC baseball and Oklahoma will meet in the winners bracket of the 2025 NCAA Tournament‘s Chapel Hill Regional, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. (ESPNU) on May 31 at Boshamer Stadium.
The top-seeded Tar Heels (43-12) are the No. 5 national seed and No. 1 team in the USA TODAY Sports coaches poll. Behind an elite effort from ace Jake Knapp, UNC earned a 4-0 win against Holy Cross in Game 1 of the Chapel Hill Regional.
The second-seeded Sooners (36-20) saved their ace Kyson Witherspoon for a showdown with the Tar Heels, who are rolling with Jason DeCaro as the Saturday starter. Oklahoma earned a 7-0 win against Nebraska in a late-night game on May 30.
