Ralph Fiennes is looking ripped in new jaw-dropping transformation photos.

On April 13, the 62-year-old actor shared before and after pictures on social media from when he was preparing for his role as Odysseus in The Return, a retelling of Homer’s Odyssey.

In the photos, the star flexed and showed off his bulked-up arms and toned core.

Fans of Fiennes were raving about the actor’s appearance in the comments, with many making jokes about the Harry Potter films, in which he played Voldemort.

“Harry Potter and the chamber of GAINZ,” one person wrote, while another said, “Lord Voldemort is ripped and ready for a rematch with Harry Potter 😂”

“Harry Potter is F—-,” one user said, followed by someone calling him “Swoledemort.”

Another follower commented, “Was not expecting a Ralph Fiennes thirsty shirtless this morning but am fine with it and impressed. Shredded.”

Fiennes previously opened up about his achieving his physical transformation for The Return during an interview with the Guardian alongside director Uberto Pasolini.

The actor said he spent five months training to get in shape to portray Odysseus.

“Uberto was very clear. He didn’t want me to have a sort of bulked-up gym body,” he said, telling his personal trainer, Dan Avasilcai that “he should look like a bit of old rope.”

However, two and a half months before they started filming the movie, he ended up losing nearly all of his body fat after sticking to a regimen of weight training and running. Fiennes also maintained a diet that was rich in proteins, complex carbohydrates and vegetables.

Speaking about Fiennes’ transformation, Pasolini told the outlet, “At the beginning, I have to confess, I was slightly suspicious that there was so much protein going in and so much exercise that we would have a body that looked exercised instead of a body that was consumed, a lived body. There is no gym in ancient Greece.”
