One of the best shows of 2025 is officially coming back to TV.
When Paradise started airing on Hulu back in January, fans immediately got into the political thriller. Set in an underground bunker in Colorado three years after an apocalyptic event, the citizens living there are trying to survive and function in a world akin to the one they lived in before. They even have a formalized U.S. government in there, but their president Cal Bradford (James Marsden) was murdered in a way no one expected.
It was then up to U.S. Secret Service Agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) to find out what happened — and what he discovered led to a series of events that left viewers on a massive cliffhanger. So, is there more coming down the line for Paradise? Luckily, Hulu released incredible news about the possibility of season 2 — and fans won’t want to miss out on any of it.
Will there be a Paradise season 2?
Just weeks into Paradise season 1 airing on Hulu, Deadline delivered the news in February 2025 that the show got renewed for season 2. What’s more, show creator Dan Fogelman had to comment on the big reveal, sharing his excitement about the show’s future.
“Congrats to this fantastic team and thank you to all those watching and theorizing! #Paradise,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time.
Dan wasn’t the only one elated about Paradise getting renewed for season 2. Sterling K. Brown also shared his thoughts on the show news, simply posting an Instagram video of him silently holding up his hand with the phrase “season 2″ written on his palm.
“Paradise is renewed for Season 2! 👏 Let’s go!” the caption read.
Has Paradise season 2 begun filming?
In March 2025, Dan decided he’d drop the best news about Paradise season 2. Posting a photo of a clapboard on Instagram, he revealed that production was officially underway for an all-new season.
Naturally, fans couldn’t hold back their excitement upon learning Paradise season 2 was officially filming.
“Whoa. This is the type of renewals/pickups we need,” one person wrote in the comments. “Can’t wait!!!! I’m so grateful you keep making material for us!” another declared. “DAN THIS SHOW IS EVERYTHING,” a different viewer exclaimed.
Who will be in the cast of Paradise season 2?
Based on the events of Paradise season 1, this is who we can expect to return for season 2:
- Sterling K. Brown as Xavier Collins
- Julianne Nicholson as Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond
- Sarah Shahi as Dr. Gabriela Torabi
- Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane Dryscoll
- Krys Marshall as Nicole Robinson
- Aliyah Mastin as Presley Collins
- Percy Daggs IV as James Collins
- Charlie Evans as Jeremy Bradford
Additionally, given how James Marsden‘s character President Cal Bradford is still present in the storyline, it’s likely folks will get to see him pop up in flashback moments in Paradise season 2 — just like with season 1.
What’s more, it looks like we have some new folks coming into the fold for Paradise season 2. Variety revealed in April 2025 that Thomas Doherty will join the cast for what the outlet calls “a key guest starring role,” while Deadline reported that Michael McGrady and Timothy Omundson will each have recurring roles associated with Collins’ mission involving leaving the bunker for survivors.
The news of these castings come weeks after Deadline also revealed Shailene Woodley would be in Paradise season 2 in a recurring role. Her character will also be associated with Collins’ new mission, playing one of the survivors he encounters when leaving the bunker.
Where can I watch and stream Paradise season 2?
When the time comes for folks to watch Paradise season 2, they can tune in to new episodes on Hulu.
For those who don’t have accounts yet, the streamer offers a number of plans you can choose to opt in to. The lowest one begins at just $9.99 per month (or $99.99 per year), and once you’re set up, you can watch it on Hulu’s website or on-the-go with the Hulu app.
In the meantime, you can re-watch Paradise season 1 on Hulu — or catch every episode of season 1 airing weekly on ABC.
