SEATTLE – Crews are working to restore power to over 1,000 Seattle City Light customers affected by an outage Tuesday afternoon.

According to Seattle City Light, the outage occurred in the Burien and Boulevard Park areas. After investigating, crews determined the cause was equipment failure.
As of 5 p.m.,1.170 customers remained without power. Over 8,500 experienced outages earlier in the afternoon.
The estimated time of restoration has yet to be determined, but Seattle City Light said 7,600 customers had regained power.
